Julia Bradbury navigates Highland glens, rolling countryside and river valleys, as well as industrial heartlands, following magical waterways as they cut a sedate path through some of the UK's finest scenery.

Kicking off her tour in the Scottish Highlands, Julia travels along the country’s network of canals and their accompanying towpath trails in Birmingham, Bath and North Wales.

Julia’s journey tells the story of their historic value to Britain, how these canals have become regarded as masterpieces of engineering and why they are now world heritage sites.
