Hidcote: A Garden For All Seasons

This documentary explores the history of Hidcote, one of the most influential English gardens of the 20th century. The enigmatic genius Lawrence Johnston, the garden's creator, spent 41 years crafting his masterpiece, but until now, little has been known about the secretive, self-taught gardener.

When the National Trust undertook an extensive restoration, the garden's present-day head gardener embarked on a personal mission to discover as much about Johnston as possible to find out how he created the garden regarded as the model of inspiration for designers all over the world.
