Everyone dreams of owning the perfect home, but buying a home isn’t the only way. Some brave souls choose to go it alone and build the home of their dreams instead. Many are on tight budgets, making their goals accessible to all viewers.

Presented by property renovator Simon O’Brien, this series follows one self-builder per episode through the trials and tribulations of ambitious construction projects.

Featuring an eco-friendly home in Wales being built out of straw, a 21st century house being erected within the walls of a historic barn and a steel-framed property whose build team usually make theme park rides, no matter what the project, every journey promises to be a roller-coaster ride.
